IMA 27 Project

Irvine Valley College’s IMA 27 (Environmental Textures & Lighting) was my first introduction to the world of 3D modelling and art. Since I don’t know how to model, none of the models shown in this project were created by me (most were open source or provided by the instructor), but all the textures are.

Software Used: Maya, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Photoshop

2021 UPDATE: I’ve learned a lot more about 3D modelling and art since 2019. There are multiple things that could be improved with the scene (especially size and scale), but as this was the first project I worked on in this area, I’ll keep it up on my blog for a little while longer.

The textures for this model were applied in Substance Painter, with layers of rust and other brushes used to paint over. The normal maps for the bullet holes came from images edited in Photoshop.
